SEA CHANGE.

Get ready for a sea change.

No I’m no fan of Len Brown but his plan for the growth of our city is actually right.
That he’s forcing it down our throats ain’t right and is kinda weird in his head slapping way.

Guess he’s learned a bit from his mate Helen Clark.

But the facts….as he tells them…..are: Auckland in December 2011 reached 1.5m residents. In Feb 2012 the Council tells us we have 380,000 dwellings (houses, units, apartments, townhouses, terraces) and within 15 years we need 170,000 more (50% increase) and a doubling within 30 years.

This rightly to be contained to 70% of existing boundaries i.e. We’re not going to subdivide Brookby, Clevedon, Whitford, Coatsville into housing and expand Auckland to Wellsford and Hamilton.

Intensification allows for infrastructure………rail through the North Shore, the Harbour Tunnel, rail to the airport, all the things big cities love and enjoy.

And it’s exciting to be part of a growing city.

Your investments are safe and its change, change, change.
Yeah there are lots who want it just as it is.
But that’s always the case.
Just don’t miss out on the ride.
It’s gonna be exciting and there’s a fortune to be made.
