APARTMENTS DYNAMIC
2006 has seen the healthiest period of our Apartment Market since its inception in 1991.
This, despite the unprecedented near 60% increase in numbers.
And what has held it all together is the booming rental market which continues to absorb all the stock supplied.
But I have found something to worry about so, being a good New Zealander, I'll share it with you.
NO DON'T TURN AWAY JUST BECAUSE IT'S CHRISTMAS AND THE SUN IS SHINING.
A real possibility (which will actually fuel the market for a period) is the Labour Government spending its embarrassing war chest ($11 billion – say it quickly) before the next election on all sorts of mad, leftist fantasies fuelling inflation and then interest rates.
You didn't really think you were going to get those tax cuts did you?
Anyway, that's the worst scenario I can see, and it will actually pump the economy so why did I worry you?
I'll think of something exciting for January!
Thanks to so many of you for such support this year.
We'll rock and roll again 2007.
Best wishes for a wonderful Christmas.
I'm off to Pauanui.
